Family-run since 1968 and voted Europe's best hostel by Hostelworld in 2024, Ruthensteiner is a 5-minute walk from Westbahnhof, between the city centre and Schönbrunn Palace. There's a leafy garden courtyard with a BBQ, a music room with guitars and a piano, a well-equipped kitchen, a bar, bike rental, laundry and a 24-hour reception. Breakfast is served from 8 to 11 for a small charge.
